My Favorite Automation Tools
As a business owner, I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “time is money” and it’s true! Every single dollar and every single minute counts when it comes to running your business, especially at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey. One of my best advice to any business owner is to implement as many systems and automation to save you as much time as possible. Automations saved my business and leveled me up to get me booked 3 months out! The extra time and money I save from automation help me get more organized and gives me the mental space to focus on the important things and takes away the stress from my business.
Here are some of my favorite automation tools:
Email Marketing
Flodesk is an intuitive email marketing tool that is made for creators, by creators. It’s simple to create beautiful emails with pre-made templates and designs that Flodesk offers to their customers. My favorite part of Flodesk is the ability to create seamless automation through email workflows and sequences, email scheduling, email segmentation, and more. Flodesk makes it simple to create emails and for your customers to sign up for your email list, receive freebies, and more.
17Hats
17Hats is a CRM software for small businesses that can help you manage your contracts, invoices, client experience, online scheduling, tasks, and more. They offer 3 plans/levels of automation depending on the needs of your business. Through this CRM software, you’re able to manage many different aspects of your business all in one place and it helps keep your business more organized. Once you have everything more organized with seamless processes, then it helps gives you the time to focus on the other important stuff in your business.
Project Management
Asana is a project management platform that takes away the struggle of manually managing projects and teams by simplifying workflows and reducing errors. I love using Asana to make sure all my projects are on track and it helps to communicate among team members so simple. You can create custom rules to automatically assign and route tasks, create forms that automatically assign incoming tasks, set recurring deadlines, streamline processes, and assign tasks to specific team members.
Website
Squarespace is an intuitive and user-friendly platform to build and host your website. They make it easy to design a website from scratch through the pre-made templates they offer. There are several features and integrations to make automation seamless through email marketing, appointment scheduling, campaign subscriptions, e-commerce, and more.
Communication
Zoom is a platform to host calls, online meetings, and webinars. The best thing about Zoom is its ability to integrate with other applications to create seamless workflows like adding Zoom links to Google Calendar, creating notes through Evernote when a new Zoom meeting starts, automatically track Zoom attendance on Google Sheets, sending recorded Zoom meetings to Dropbox, sending emails before and after a meeting, etc.
Calendly
Calendly is a free online appointment scheduling software that makes it easy for you and your customers to set up appointments at a click of a button! You are able to sync your calendars and set up different types of appointments. It eliminates the hassle of communicating back and forth to set up a date and time, which in the end saves you time in your day. You can share your Calendly link on your website and people that want to make an appointment with you can easily do that, all of this can be happening in your sleep! You’re able to sync up several options for video conferencing, like Zoom and Google Meetings. Once an appointment is made, it will automatically show up in your calendar with the link to the video conference call.
Automation Integration
Zapier is a tool that integrates with all the other applications you use for your business. It’s the automation tool that ties everything together! For example, you can set up an automatic workflow where a customer sets up an appointment through your scheduling platform (like Calendly or Squarespace Scheduling), it will automatically create a Zoom meeting, will add it on your Google Calendar, and then your customer will get an email through your email marketing platform (like Flodesk or Mailchimp). All of that is happening in your sleep.
Start automation in your business sooner than later! You’re going to be glad that you have the extra time to focus on your business and your life. Not to mention the extra hours of sleep that you’ll be getting. You’ll be sleeping and running your business at the same time. Hopefully, my favorite automation tools can help you and your business! Do you have any other automation tools or platforms not listed? Let me know!
